These photos are from my recent visit to an open house for the Modulightor Building on east 58th street. This building stands as a testament to the architectural genius of its designer, Paul Rudolf, a 20th century Modernist. I really appreciated the clean white aesthetic and the openness of the space- coupled with all of the green plants and well loved books which gave the space a homey feel. It was a night of good company and good conversation. Special thanks to my friend Candace (seen above) for her invitation.

It was nice to get away from the harsh New York weather, the same grey sky day after day- travelling to Jamaica made me feel a bit like Dorothy stepping out of her sepia existence and into a life of technicolor in the land of OZ. It can be seen in the plants, in the sherberty colored homes, right down to observing strangers in a friendly game of dominoes. Jamaica is truly a land that embraces color.
