Was in a bit of a sketching mood today- I really liked this collection because it takes the nautical feeling to a whole new level. I love nautical wear but I’ve been tired of seeing the same ol’ stripe motifs and color palate. This collection explores the nautical feeling in a more traditional and unassuming way.

Building the perfect wardrobe is difficult in an age where trends are coming and going faster than ever; what’s more- more and more people aren’t interested in investing in their clothing. The idea that clothes bags and shoes are items that should last you through the years is a fleeting concept- these and many more reasons make it hard to curate the perfect wardrobe. I’ve been researching different brands and sifting through my own closet to see exactly what it is I need as opposed to want and came up with this list:

This isn’t a complete list but these are the items that equate a perfect and balanced wardrobe for my life- it may be different for yours. I’ll be reporting when I’m able to cross out an item on the list- mind you this isn’t going to be complete any time soon, it takes time to curate the perfect wardrobe and several trips (in my opinion) around the world to find little treasures here and there.
